For eight years, The Roku Channel has been one of the better free streaming options available. It hosts live content plus on-demand TV shows and movies, all for no charge ( Roku says it has "thousands of free TV shows and hit movies," plus more than 500 live TV channels).

Media giant ViacomCBS Inc (VIACA.O) said on Monday it has entered an agreement with Hulu to add 14 more networks, including Comedy Central, MTV, VH1 and Nickelodeon, to the streaming service provider's paid live TV platform.
As of late Thursday, Oct. 30, several channels are missing from YouTube TV. Disney-owned channels, including ABC, ESPN, Disney Channel, National Geographic, and FX, have been removed from YouTube TV.
